Awaken Shabbat

Awaken Shabbat (formally Social Responsibility Shabbat) is one of CRC's longest-running social responsibility programs. On the 2nd Friday night of every month, we invite a guest speaker to speak at our Shabbat service about an issue of social responsibility. We believe that Tikkun Olam, the work of repairing the world, is one of the ways in which we live Torah, and so we often say that our Awaken Shabbat speaker is our "Torah" for the evening.

Our speakers cover a wide range of topics of interest to our members.
